We all have favorite toys or clothes or other items in our lives. These items can be hard to share sometimes. The charming picture book Bob and Flo by Rebecca Ashdown (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2015) can model for young children not only a special way to share, but the rewards of friendship that follow. This story is great for the beginning of the year and for those inevitable times when sharing among students becomes a problem. Bob takes Flo’s bucket without asking, but after they end up playing together, Flo decides the bucket can be shared between them. delightful characters and illustrations will delight young and old readers.
